requires less maintenance
less choice of vegetation
access usually resticted to maintenance only
lowest structural demands

Intensive

requires a lot of maintenance
((comparable to that of a normal garden, hence the name ‘rooftop garden’)
widespread choice of vegetation
easily accesible
greatest structural requirements

Do you always need to choose between these two types?

No, you don’t. De Boer Green Roof Solutions can offer you also a compromise:

Simple, semi-intensive or light intensive
These types offer you a wider choice of vegetation. The structural demands and the required maintenace are higher than those of an extensive green roof, but are lower than those of an intensive gre”en roof.
